Mavrick is a action arcade game where players rocket their character into enemies pinball style! It was developed using Unreal, C++, Blueprints and is a free desktop game released on itch.io for Windows.

It is a ten person project where I handled a majority of gameplay, animation, and UI implementation. This included:

  • Swipe gesture detection for controlling direction of player attack
  • Character animation state using montages, sequences, and animation notifies
  • Enemy AI to follow, avoid, and shoot at player using behavior trees and blackboards
  • Score and combo system based on enemies killed and bounces
  • Healing and damage system based on score
  • HUD animations for combo, score, and health systems
  • UI and menu interactions
